No, the Unibomber doesn't live here, I did two summers ago. That's Enid the orchid on the railing. She came with me from Long Beach so I could care for her, which paid off. She bloomed profusely when I returned home.

About Me

teachlausd: Long Beach, California; I'm a substitute elementary school teacher for LAUSD. I mostly work in special ed. classes (moderate to severe disabilities), but sometimes I take regular ed. classes--which are not my favorite because the kids are usually very difficult to manage. In the past I've taught art in middle school as well as ESL to adults in the San Pedro area. I spent several years in Saudi Arabia teaching English. For the past few summers I've been a seasonal worker at various California State Parks.
